PORTER’S ALL PURPOSE CLEAR SEALER

Porter’s All Purpose Clear Sealer is an interior use sealer that is suitable for floors, walls and furniture and is the only clear sealer recommended as a protective clear sealer for use over Porter’s Milk Paint and Porter’s Fresco. Dries to a beautiful satin finish. Although All Purpose Clear Sealer is suitable for floors, we would recommend Porter’s Clearcote as a better choice on floors, as it is much stronger and designed specifically for this use.

 

PORTER’S BEE’S WAX

A selection of premium grade wax polishes made with the finest Australian bee’s wax. Bee’s Wax is a clear protective finish, Lime Wax and Black Antique Wax are used on furniture over bare wood and over other paints and finishes to create a variety of rustic and antique effects.

PORTER’S CEMENT CRACK SEALER

Porter’s Cement Crack Sealer is for use prior to painting over new cement render or bagging that shows non-structural hairline cracking. Designed to bridge cracks up to 0.3mm. Remains flexible throughout its life.

PORTER’S CLEARCOTE

Porter’s heavy duty Clearcote is an odourless, fast drying, water-based clear finish suitable for most interior and exterior surfaces (please refer to specification for suitable surfaces and limitations). Ideal for floors. Porter’s Clearcote has superior exterior durability, excellent UV stability and advanced yellowing resistance. Dries to a low lustre finish.

PORTER’S INSTANT RUST CLEAR SEALER

Porter’s Instant Rust Clear Sealer is designed for use when protection, sealing or isolation is required on interior or exterior surfaces that have been finished with Porter’s Liquid Iron & Instant Rust. Quick drying. Dries to an ultra low sheen finish.

PORTER’S LIMEPROOF UNDERCOAT SEALER

Porter’s Limeproof Undercoat Sealer is an exterior/interior use undercoat primer/sealer that can be applied to bare paintable surfaces as an undercoat sealer, or for use over previously painted surfaces as an undercoat primer prior to the application of any Porter’s paint or finish. White in colour. Ultra matt finish.

PORTER’S MATT WALL SEALER

Porter’s Matt Wall Sealer is an interior use product that is recommended as a protective clear sealer specifically designed for use over Porter’s Interno, Porter’s Interior Distemper, Porter’s Lime Wash or Boncote Cement Paint (when used on a interior surface). Allows these surfaces to resist marking and staining, makes these matt decorative finishes wipeable.

PORTER’S MINERAL SILICATE PRIMER

A water based mineral silicate primer specifically for use with Porter’s Mineral Paint, particularly when a surface has been patched, repaired or has varying degrees of porosity. Mineral Silicate primer is also sometimes specified as a primer for new interior set plaster prior to undercoating.

PORTER’S NATURAL TIMBER OIL

Porter’s Natural Timber Oil is a clear, natural oil coating and preservative and sealer for bare timber. Will preserve and protect all interior and exterior woodwork from weather and rot while enhancing the timber’s natural beauty and grain. Dries to a non-sticky finish with a slight lustre.

PORTER’S SALT CHECK

Porter’s Salt Check inhibits efflorescence, a whitish salty powder, crust or crystal formed on the surface of a mortar or masonry that is subject to excess moisture. Salt Check is a water thinnable solvent-free emulsion that serves as a high quality general purpose water repellent for impregnating and priming mineral surfaces such as cement render, bricks, concrete, sandstone and mineral plasters.

PORTER’S STUCCO WAX

A superb blend of fine waxes especially formulated to be as a protective finish over Porter’s Fresco or Porter’s Interior Distemper. Dries to a hard finish and can be buffed to achieve required gloss.

PORTER’S TANNIN CHECK

Porter’s Tannin Check has been designed to be used as a pre-treatment to inhibit tannin migration through water based paint systems. Particularly recommended prior to the application of Porter’s Clearcote or Porter’s Perfect Floor Paint on tannin rich timber. Also
suitable to use after the application of Porter’s Wood Wash prior to clear coating.

PORTER’S UNIVERSAL PRIMER

A tough all-purpose primer for use when extra masking or isolation of substrate is required, such as over oil-based (enamel) paints when changing to a water-based (acrylic) system, or for timber prone to tannin bleed. Excellent as a general purpose all-metal primer, particularly suitable for use over galvanised iron.

PORTER’S WALLPAPER SIZE

Although wallpaper can be directly pasted to clean previously painted walls, to ensure the best outcome and longevity on your job we recommend using Porter’s Wallpaper Size. The benefits of using a wallpaper size:

– Size evens out the porosity of the substrate, which in turn, allows the wallpaper paste to dry uniformly.
– Size makes wallpaper easier to hang by allowing a bit of slippage so wallpaper can be accurately slid into place.
– Size enhances the holding power of the paste.
– Size makes the wallpaper easier to remove.

For porous surfaces apply one coat of undiluted glue size with a brush or roller. Allow 2 hours dry time. For non-porous surfaces Porter’s Wallpaper Size can be diluted by adding 1 part water to 2 parts glue size, apply with a brush or roller and allow 2 hours dry time.

Coverage: for every 1 roll of wallpaper, you will need 500mls of glue size (undiluted). When diluted 500ml covers enough area for 2 rolls of wallpaper.
